When to consider a facelift

We commonly see people wanting facelifts when they look older than they feel. When the effects of gravity, sun exposure and the stresses of daily life can be seen in their faces and they don't like it. Deep creases form between the nose and mouth; the jaw line grows slack and jowly; folds and fat deposits appear around the neck.

The facelift is the overall answer to the aging face, it can "set back the clock". What our patients like is the years a facelift takes off their face but they still have the wisdom they have gained during those years.

The best candidates for a facelift is a man or woman whose face and neck have begun to sag, but whose skin still has some elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well defined.
